Ergonomic Review: Office and Computer Workstation

This high-level review is designed to provide general recommendations for a worker’s office and computer workstation. This service is best suitedto employees who are not experiencing discomfort or when a large number of workstations must be evaluated. Due to its proactive nature, this review is shorter than a detailed ergonomic assessment. It does not address employee discomfort in-depth and/or work practice issues. The main goal of the proactive ergonomic review is to improve current workstation layout based on ergonomic principles and guidelines. The deliverable consists of a two to three page report per worker that outlines the assessment findings and proposed recommendations.

• Conducted over 120 proactive assessments and provided recommendations to improve the overall workstation layout in order to optimize comfort, efficiency and productivity.

Penncorp Life Insurance Company and York Region Fire and Casualty Insurance

• Carried out high level assessments of 15 executive offices. Modified the layout of the workstation in order to meet ergonomic guidelines and enhance overall comfort and work efficiency.
