Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) Risk Assessment

This assessment is conducted to identify ergonomics-related risk factors with the goal of reducing the occurrence or potential for musculoskeletal injuries or disorders. Findings collected from worker interviews, observing the work routine and taking physical measurements are compared to ergonomic guidelines to determine human capability. Identified MSD hazards are classified as low, medium or high risk for musculoskeletal injury. Short, medium and long-term recommendations are presented in a comprehensive report and cover workstation layout and design, machinery/equipment/tools as well as work organization, work procedures, work environment, psychosocial factors, and work practices. This service may be used to assist an employer to comply with Ministry of Labour orders.
